It’s not often that we venture outside of the wedding photography arena. Generally we stick to only shooting weddings and engagement portraits. However, when a family we’ve shot for several times asks us to shoot her newborn daughter’s portraits, we simply cannot pass up the honor!!

From time to time, I have the privilege of photographing precious newborns. It’s like a muse for me to photograph these little bundles of surprise, with the world open to them. I love making it personal and unique to each family, and contrasting their smooth skin with various textures.
Little Nicholas was born on my birthday, December 30th! My relationship with this wonderful family has blossomed into a friendship since I started photographing their daughter when she was just itty herself! This time, little miss is a big sis’, and she grabbed my hand excitedly to introduce me to her baby brother. Baby Nicholas was a perfect doll for his first portrait session.
