An Evergreen Wedding ~ {Marissa & Chad}

We were privileged to shoot the second-ever wedding at Greystone Manor in Evergreen.  The first wedding to take place there was the family’s daughter, so this was very special indeed.  Marissa and Chad, who’ve been together almost eight years, had their ceremony in the shade on the lawn overlooking the pool.  After their cocktail hour, they went to dinner in the pavilion that the family had built specifically for their daughter’s wedding many years ago.

Here are some of our favorites from the wedding.

Sunrise Amphitheater Wedding {Edie and Jeff}

Sunrise Amphitheater Wedding and Chautauqua Park Reception

Edie and Jeff are self-proclaimed “nerds.”  They call themselves that because they share a lot of the same loves like Star Wars and Star Trek.  Bill and I disagree.  They both are very talented artists, extremely thoughtful and very fun to be around.  Jeff is pretty goofy….all the time, and Edie is fun-loving, sweet, silly and intelligent.   The couple planned such a beautiful wedding with tons of DIY details.  We are definitely submitting this gorgeous wedding and beautifully-nerdy couple’s wedding to some publications.

Both of us were so impressed with their families, friends and their absolute love for one another.  Their wedding touched us and we found ourselves tearing up (yep, Bill too) during the poem that Edie’s mom read.  Check out some of our favs.

Such wonderful use of the natural and ambient light! The “sunburst” shot through the trees is, what?, inspirational? Nice work finding beauty in the candid shots. Thank you.

Awesome Jeff and congrats! Sad I wasn’t there at the wedding; I have some photos and stories that would have been great for a roast – er I mean toast.
Hope you’re well!
